COMMON HALL, THE ANNUAL CHURCH SERVICE AND INFORMAL SOCIAL.
WEDNESDAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2010.

Common Hall - To be held at Bakers’ Hall, Harp Lane, London EC3R 6DP at 1700 hours. (The nearest tube stations to Bakers Hall are Tower Hill and Monument, approximately 250m east and west of Bakers Hall respectively.) All members are welcome, but non members of the company including guests may not attend. The Agenda is:-
1. Welcome – the Master
2. Election of Officers nominated by the Court
3. Report on 2009/10 – the Master
4. Report – Chairman of Trustees.
5. Report – Scholarships and Awards.
6. Report – Sponsorship.
7. Report - Finance matters, including the 2008/9 accounts.
8. Report – Administrative matters - The Clerk.
9. Questions from the floor and discussion.
10. Address by the Master Elect.
11. Conclusion.
Tea available for those attending Common Hall from 1630. Questions from the floor should be submitted in advance through the Clerk, although they may be taken on the day if time permits. There is no charge for attendance but it will greatly help our planning if you use the form below to tell me you are coming.
Annual Church Service - This will take place at 1830 hours at the Tower of London Chapel. It will be a choral evensong service with some adjustments to accommodate the Company’s particular customs. Everyone is welcome; members, family, friends and colleagues. This is a superb chance to see the Tower “off duty”, and the Master asks for the strong support of Members of the Company. We need names as there are security considerations; please use the form below.
Informal Social - With my 27 July Notes I included an application form for the events (Common Hall, Tower of London Church Service and social) that will take place on Wednesday 8 September. I now have more details of the social activity after church, and ask those who wish to attend to complete an additional short form and send it to me with your cheque.
· If you have already sent me the 27 July application, just send the new form and cheque
· If you have not yet sent the 27 July form, then send it, the new form and the cheque.
After leaving the Tower Chapel we return towards the City, just a 5 – 10 minute walk to Balls Bros Wine Bar in Mark Lane near the site of the old Corn Exchange (and close to Tower Hill and Monument tube stations). We will have a reserved area with tables and chairs, welcome glasses of wine and soft drinks (which will last as long as the budget stretches, after which we will pay our way) and a “gourmet” finger buffet. The cost will be £25 per head.
To reserve your place use the form below, which must reach me by FRIDAY 27 AUGUST.
